Find out know what Smiley have to say about his victory for the HOG title, about brian XL stabbing him in the back and more in this interview with Dr Ernest Price on behalf of Smiley "the psycho lucha".
1-For those who do not know, can you introduce yourself?
Hello my name is Dr. Ernest Price I am the head administrator at the Fairchild Asylum for the mentally deranged and I am Smileys head therapist. Smiley is a masked man who we send out on the weekends on a work release program to wrestle all over the US for over 30 different companies.
2-Can you describe your career for us, how did you become a wrestler?
Smiley has been wrestling for 2 years he wrestles a very high energy crazy style he uses a very flashy and unique offense he is most comfortable in the air flipping and flying all over the ring smiley started his wrestling career in 2012 when he wandered into house of glory and was quickly taken in by amazing red and Brian xl and all the other students since then HOG has become his second home and where he has become most comfortable.
3-How did your parents react to you wanting to become a wrestler? And when did you know you wanted to be a wrestler?
It can be hard to know anything of smileys past due to smileys lack of being able to speak clear English it is just a form of gibberish from what we can tell from smileys drawings and gibberish smileys parents are very supportive and have been extremely proud of all his accomplishments and smiley has always wanted to be a wrestler from the moment he watched the road warriors walk through the curtain when he was 6 yrs. old.
4-Can you talk about your first steps into this business, do you remember your first match?
Smileys first step into the wrestling world was stumbling into HOG and receiving the best training from a true master of the squared circle amazing red and Brian xl smiley but his blood sweat and tears into every training day he had and received his first wrestling match of December that same year he teamed with gh Flanders in a 2 on one handicap match which they were very unsuccessful in but the experience and time was something that you can’t ever forget and a form of adrenaline that you want more and as often as possible 119 matches later smiley still gets that rush to this day.
5-Who inspired you for your name, your mask and your wrestling style?
Till smiley walked in to house of glory smiley was a nameless stranger walking the streets of new York the moment smiley walked into HOG amazing red worked with him and started calling him smiley due to the smile he would have ear to ear every second he was in the wring no matter how hard he got hit or how much abuse he took smileys mask is a resemblance of that and is also a tribute to Red with the eye pieces on his mask being a version of Reds popular and pose.
6-How did you feel when you won the HOG heavyweight title against Amazing Red, ken Broadway and JT Dunn?
That match was a very emotional and huge match for smileys career he was in the ring with a fellow HOG that smiley came up with that smiley grew in this business with in Ken Broadway then you have one of the biggest names on the east coast wrestling scene today in JT Dunn and then of course the man that trained smiley that taught him everything he knows in amazing red the match was hard it was full of pain there was blood there was tears and there was a moment between red and smiley that was emotional and something that smiley will replay in his head every day and was very surreal but then the moment went sour thanks to Brian xl.
7-How did you feel when Brian XL stabbed you in the back after your victory to keep his title?
Smiley is still in shock of that moment you never expect the man that took you in and gave you a place to call home and to vent out your issues to ever turn his back on you let alone turn his back on the whole company and his best friend it was a stunning moment that left smiley bewildered and hurt physically and emotionally.
8-You're wrestling for only 2 years and you faced guys like Ricochet, The Young Bucks, Amazing Red, how did you feel when you were in the ring with them?
Its very breath taking to be standing 20 feet away from the people you been watching and admiring from the other side of the guard rails and for smiley it was no difference how does one compare to these people that have been all over the world and has wrestled some of the greats from all over the world themselves it was an honor to be able to share the ring with some of the all-time greatest.
9-Which wrestlers/tag teams would you like to face?
There are many people smiley would like to wrestle some being more famous like that of delirious Okada, Nakamura ACH PJ Black young bucks again and Tommy Dreamer and he also has some fellow hogs he would like to be in the ring with like getting one on one with Anthony Gangone, Ken Broadway GH Flanders New York Wrecking Krew smooth Blackmon and Chris Seaton Nicky heat and smiley may have had 12 matches in the past with Marq Quen who is currently his partner as The high spot heros he always enjoys wrestling his best friend marq and smiley is dyeing to get his one on one with his trainer mentor and friend amazing red.
10-How do you see your future in wrestling ? What are your goals for 2015?
Smiley is hoping to get his name out there more and branching out to bigger things like czw roh and maybe pwg and travelling more around the world so far smiley has been to Canada and the US he wants to get out to Mexico UK and Japan.
11-What is your best memory in Wrestling? (As a fan and/or as a wrestler)
Smiley has many fond memories of wrestling from some of his drawings we have made out a moment one time where he was at a WWE event and at the end of tommy dreamers match tommy walked over to where smiley was and gave him the shirt off his back to thank him for a sign smiley had made and then several years later while smiley was sharing the locker room with him he was remembered from that moment in a little house show many years before.
12-Wrestlers are very often on the road, so do you have any story for our readers?
When smiley comes back from his work release weekends he is always rambling on about being able to travel the road with his friends traveling from Canada to Texas spending hours on the road meeting new fans sharing locker rooms with some of his heroes and legends a like.
13-Who gave you the most valuable advice? What was this advice?
Smiley has gotten a lot of great advice from a lot of different people like Roderick strong tony nese player uno rockstar spud and of course amazing red but probably the simplest advice any one could ever give was from player uno when asked for advice for a new up and comer player uno simply said “find a good wrestling school and shut up and listen take everything you possibly could”.
14-Do you think that one day, we'll see you wrestling in Europe? Where would you like to wrestle?
Smiley would jump on the opera unity to go to the UK he has goals to go out that way he would love to wrestle any and every one growing up watching the likes of Johnny saint and Billy Robinson smiley has become in love with the British style and the art of their style specially after smileys recent match at Warriors of Wrestling where he faced off against rockstar spud smiley would lover to travel out to the UK and see what other amazing talent there is to find and how much he would learn.
15-What are your thoughts on the Indies?
Smiley thinks the indies are a great and amazing thing there are a lot of hate and negative stuff about them and yes of course some people out there could use better outfits and better training but we are all in this for the same goal and smiley loves his journey to where ever it takes him smiley gets to spend every week end in the squared circle performing for the fans and making memories and for those moments where he fells immortal and like he could do anything he could never be anything but thankful.
16-A lot of big names came to HOG like Samoa Joe, Tommy Dreamer, Amazing Red, AJ Styles, PJ Black, and Rey Mysterio in 2 months.
HOG is also a place where we can see a lot of dream matches like AJ Styles VS PJ Black, Ricochet VS Chris Sabin, AJ Styles VS Ricochet, and Rey Mysterio VS Amazing Red. Hog created a lot of wrestler like you, Ken Broadway, Anthony Gangone,... So do you think that with these 3 advantages, HOG will become as big as companies like ROH ?
We think HOG has every chance in the world to grow as large as it can go and get up there on the levels of a CZW or an ROH or even a TNA HOG has so much untapped potelial that they have ony scrapped the surface of and will grow with each event.
