Cette nuit, IMPACT Wrestling tenait son PPV Rebellion et dans le co main-event, Steve Maclin ainsi que KUSHIDA se battaient pour le championnat du monde de la fédération devenu vacant suite à la blessure de Josh Alexander.

Après une vraie bataille de plus de 18 minutes, c’est finalement Steve Maclin qui réussit enfin à décrocher un titre et pas le moindre puisqu' il devient champion du monde d’IMPACT Wrestling.

Une vraie consécration pour l’ancien Forgotten Son de la WWE et une vraie récompense presque 2 ans après son arrivée à IMPACT Wrestling.
